Westridge Real Estate History
Westridge is a long and narrow community in west Edmonton extending into the North Saskatchewan River Valley with Wolf Willow Ravine is to the south. The western boundary of Westridge is 170 Street, which also provides the only entry point. The majority of the houses in Westridge were built during the 1970s with single-detached houses being the dominant structure type and account for almost all the total dwelling units.
Westridge Park and a community league are located in the middle of the neighbourhood. Prior to urban development, the Westridge area was home to Wolf Willow Farm after which the main collector road that runs through was named. To further honour the former farm, all of the street names in the neighbourhood begin with the letter “W,” and many incorporate “wolf” or “willow.”
