Meadowlark Park is a highly sought after community in West Edmonton in the heart of the Meadowlark district across from Johnny Bright on 163 Street. Meadowlark Park Real Estate History
During the late 1950s, the Town of Jasper Place, located just west of the city limits, developed several suburbs including Meadowlark Park which became one of Edmonton’s newer neighbourhoods in 1964. It is north of 87 Avenue, east of 170 Street and west of 163rd Street. The dominant structure type in Meadowlark Park is the detached house, but over one-quarter of all properties are high-density such as apartment buildings. An important component this part of the west end is the commercial Meadowlark Park Centre, which provides numerous medical services and retail services. It takes its name from the western meadowlark, which is a species of bird common to central and southern Alberta.
