There were 1195 single family detached houses in Edmontron added to the market. 711 houses were sold and 334 expired. There were 152 duplexes added to the market. 120 duplexes were sold and 45 expired. There were 233 townhouses added to the market. 122 townhouses were sold and 87 expired. There were 468 apartments added to the market. 176 apartments were sold and 221 expired.
During October, the City of Edmonton recorded 2,048 new property listings and 1,129 sales, resulting in approximately 1.8 properties available for every buyer. In addition, 758 listings expired without selling. Of those expired listings, 5.7% had been on the market for more than one year, highlighting the challenges some sellers faced in attracting buyers and securing a sale.
