West Edmonton real estate listings are located in real estate zones 20 and 22 just off of Whitemud drive. Only a few decades ago, this part of our city was the most prestigious place to live in the west. Today with the expansion of our municipality, these houses and homes are now located in the heart of the west end.
West Edmonton homes are divided by Whitemud Drive with Callingwood, Wolf Willow to the south and Meadowlark, West Edmonton Mall to the north. When Meadowlark houses were first sold, the average sale price was only $32,000. Today the average price for one of these real estate listings is $375,000.
Almost every Wolf Willow house in west Edmonton is considered a luxury home no matter which year it was built. These properties are all about location nestled between ravines, river valleys, cul-de-sacs and crescents. Even the stunning duplex bungalows in the Country Club are at our luxury price point. Wolf Willow has the highest sought after west Edmonton dwellings surrounded by parks and the Westridge ravine.
Callingwood is a perfect place to live for first time buyers with a lower income with several bungalows and townhouses to choose from. West Edmonton Mall area is a great place to buy houses for extra rental income. Many of these west properties feature basement suites. Meadowlark is a mix of mature bungalows to new infills.
When people hear of Edmonton, the first thing that comes to mind is our famous West Edmonton Mall with more than 800 stores, services, attractions and a water park.
West Edmonton houses and homes for sale are conviently located near every amenity and large wholesalers. Some of these amenities are Walmart, Canadian Tire, Superstore, Home Depot, Misericordia Community Hospital, Michaels, Best Buy, Value Village, Winners, Farmer Markets and many other shops and services.
Terra Losa is sometimes called "West Edmonton Condo City". There are no single family houses in this community.
There is a popular 3.2 kilometer loop trail in Wolf Willow for hiking, running. The trail is open all year and dogs are welcome and may be off-leash in some areas. This portion of the west features lots of elevation changes and some great views. The nearby ravine is stunning with towering trees and a lookout by Wolf Willow Stairs.
