Westmount Real Estate
Westmount is one of Edmonton's most mature residential areas in west-central Edmonton and still consists of several beautifully handcrafted war-time houses. Westmount Area - West Central Houses & Homes
Dovercourt, northwest of Westmount in west-central Edmonton is a completely residential community with the exception of a few churches including New Life Pentecostal Church. The majority of real estate development in Dovercourt occurred during the mid-1950s with a mix of bungalows and character houses.
Inglewood homes for sale are located are north of Westmount in west-central Edmonton between Woodcroft and Prince Charles bisected by St. Albert Trail. Inglewood is a popular community to live with great public transportation to the city core and offers several nearby amenities near Kingsway Garden Mall including Canadian Tire and Superstore.
North Glenora sits on land that was originally a 1000-acre estate owned by Malcolm Groat in 1870. This land was sold in 1906 to Montreal realtor James Carruthers. Although many of the older west end communities that sit here, such as Groat Estate, Westmount and Glenora, were actively being developed from the turn of the century, it was not until the post World War II economic boom that North Glenora began developing.
Prince Charles is north of Westmount and 118 ave in west-central Edmonton between Inglewood, Sherbrooke, and the new upcoming Blatchford community near Kingsway Garden Mall and the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. Over the last few years, many Prince Charles character houses have been torn down and replaced with newer duplexes at affordable prices.
Sherbrooke is one of the few communities in west-central Edmonton where many of the houses are handed down to the next generation. The majority of real estate development was constructed in the early 1950s with bungalows and semi-bungalows which feature massive yards with matured landscapes.
Westmount is located between Inglewood and North Glenora along Groat Road and 127 Street. Westmount Edmonton is a large community near Glenora and the homes for sale are currently one of Edmonton's hot spots for real estate investing. The original dwellings were built in early 1900.
Woodcroft is nestled between Dovercourt and North Glenora. The majority of houses in Woodcroft were completed by the mid-1950s.
