Windermere Real Estate
Windermere is another upper-scale district in southwest Edmonton, Alberta, south of Whitemud Drive. It offers a mix of newer executive houses to penthouse condominiums. The construction of the Winderemere area took off during Alberta's last real estate boom and was focused on elite buyers with quick access to YEG airport. It is best known for its massive mansions in Windermere Estates. Today, there are still new builds in this area with a price tag a bit lower than they were at the peak of the boom. It is also known for the nearby amenities at the Currents of Windermere and its beautiful luxury houses and its name comes from the words "winder", which means to take one's breath away, and "mere", which refers to the boundary of an area or a significant landmark.
Windermere - Southwest Edmonton Houses & Homes
Windermere is a highly sought after community between Heritage Valley and Riverbend. This part of the southwest Edmonton is best known for the gorgeous luxury houses in Windermere Estates which are a few minutes from the International airport.
