Purchasing homes in northeast Edmonton is perfect for people for our Canadian Armed Forces members with a short commute to the CFB Garrison Military Base and buyers who love living by the river valley. Price per square foot, northeast Edmonton home values are the least expensive in our municipality. Over the last few years, there have been several new builds constructed in Pilot Sound. These communities include Brintnell, Cy Becker, Hollick-Kenyon, Matt Berry and McConachie.


The Lake District touches the north edge of our city and also consists of newer houses. Most of these dwellings are middle to upper-class houses with front attached garages. Lake District communities include Belle Rive, Eaux Claires, Klarvatten, Lago Lindo, Mayliewan, Ozerna, Schonsee and the newest community of and Crystalina Nera which is less than ten minutes to CFB Garrison.


Historically, the Beverly area was called "The town of Beverly" incorporated as a village on March 22, 1913. It has a vibrant coal mining past dating back to the 1800s which employed the majority of settlers. These communities include Abbottsfield, Beacon Heights, Bergman, Beverly Heights and Rundle Heights.


Northeast Edmonton is best known for the Clareview area, near all shopping amenities with quick LRT access to downtown and the southern part of our city. Hermitage is a family-friendly area that consists of three communities which are Canon Ridge, Homesteader and Overlanders. It is best known for Hermitage Park which is situated in the far east part of northeast Edmonton. Hermitage Park features natural walking trails, a large off-leash dog area and picnic sites. Here you can also rent paddling boats to go out on the water or enjoy fishing activities.


Homes in Steele Heights are a mix of residential real estate constructed over several decades. In Belvedere, Casselman and York, you will find older bungalows, perfect for adding rental basement suites. Smaller two-storey houses are found in Mcleod and Miller with the newest Steel Heights houses found in the Ebbers community.


The Northmount Area is best known for the user-friendly public transit and shopping amenities including Northgate and North Town shopping malls. These communities include Balwin, Belvedere, Delwood, Glengarry, Kildare, Kilkenny, Killarney, Northmount and Evansdale which is situated beside the highly sought after the former military base of Griesbach.
