Clareview Communities
Bannerman is a friendly residential Clareview community, popular with young families. It was named after "H. Bannerman, who settled in the Belmont area in 1883. These Clareview homes for sale offer a mix of detached houses, starter houses, townhouses, and apartments developed during the 1970s. It is approximately eight minutes to the Clareview LRT Station and 15 minutes to CFB Garrison.
Belmont is another mature community near Clareview which backs onto the Kennedale Ravine. Belmont has two distinct real estate development periods and is known locally for the presence of the Belmont Rehabilitation Centre and the historic Belmont drive-in theatre. The first period was developed between 1975 and 1977 when most of the houses were built and the second period was in the 1990s.
Clareview Town Centre is a busy community with proximity to the Campus, stip Mall, and Business Centre, in northeast Edmonton, 15 minutes North of the Canadian Armed Forces Base Garrison.
Fraser is an interesting community with plenty of diversity in the Clareview area. It is named for John Fraser, born at Jasper House was an original homesteader in the area and one of the first trustees of the Belmont School. This part of Clareview was originally developed during the 1980s. Fraser properties range from small "cookie-cutter" houses and apartment condos to luxury properties found along the river valley and in the new Fraser Vista community. Real estate here was originally middle-class properties built in the 1980s, then with the expansion of the East Anthony Henday, it opened up more residential land use for today's modern luxury properties.
Hairsine is the closest community in Clareview to all major amenities including the recreation center, Superstore, Canadian Tire, Walmart, and the LRT station. Hairsine properties are mostly apartment condos, many of which are tenant-occupied. Due to the location of Hairsine, this is a great neighborhood to invest in for rental purposes.
Kernohan is nestled between Bannerman and Canon Ridge near Clareview, named for an early pioneer farmer who operated a grocery store here in the 1880s. Several of Kernohan Clareview homes for sale run along River Point and 22 Street back onto the Hermitage River Valley Green Space and Dog Park. This is one of the few communities in northeast Edmonton where houses situated on the river valley are affordable.
Kirkness also located near Clareview is a few minutes from CFB Garrison making this a great place to live for CAF members. Kirkness real estate listings have been actively under development since the 1970s, and residential construction has continued into the 2000s. Detached houses represent approximately half of the residential units within the community.
Sifton Park, named after the Honorable Arthur R. Sifton a Premier of Alberta, makes up part of Clareview. A large portion of Sifton Park residential real estate is tenant-occupied and constructed after 1977. This part of northeast Edmonton offers owners several nearby amenities including convenient public transit with the Clareview LRT, easy access to the river valley and Kennedale ravine, an education center is central strategically placed, and community walking trails. Houses are mainly starter and very affordable for first-time home buyers and military buyers needing a quick commute to CFB Garrison.
Canon Ridge lies within Hermitage and has an awesome outdoor recreational spot all year round. It is named for an Anglican minister who arrived in our city in 1875 which had two cattle farms until as late as 1960. Canon Ridge Hermitage homes for sale are mostly small detached houses and townhouses, on attractive curving streets and cul-de-sacs with easy access to river valley parks, making it extremely popular with younger families.
The Hermitage Homesteader neighborhood is bounded by Yellowhead Trail and 50th Street. Homesteader homes consist of several row housing, although there are almost as many single-family houses built in the mid-1970s.
Overlanders is nestled between Homesteader and Canon Ridge in Hermitage and is best known for our Soccer Association East Centre. In this part of northeast Edmonton, residents have easy access to the nearby river valley parks and the stocked trout pond. Overlanders real estate listings consist of middle-class houses built between 1977-1998.
Relocating to Clareview
The Clareview district is in the far northeast-east part of Edmonton bounded by Fort Road, north to 153 Avenue, Anthony Henday, and Hermitage Road. It is bisected by Victoria Trail.
The Clareview Light Rail Transit serves the Capital Line to our downtown core. The Clareview crossing serves its residents with several amenities from its Recreation Centre and Manning Cineplex Cinemas to ample restaurants, Costco, Staples, and major home renovation stores. If you are thrifty, it is also near Goodwill and Value Village.
Clareview features a real estate mix of houses, duplexes, townhouses, and apartment-style condominiums in every community. There is one pocket in Clareview where house prices reach the million-dollar mark. The average price for a Clareview bungalow is about $320,000 while the newer two-story houses are priced on average at $375,000.
Hermitage is a residential area in the northeast portion of Edmonton in Alberta, Canada. Hermitage is bounded by 50 Street, Yellowhead Trail, and a CN rail line.
