Central Edmonton Real Estate

Central Edmonton real estate consists of mostly condominiums, war-time houses and infill properties. It is bordered by the North Saskatchewan River Valley and offer residents many scenic views. Real estate in Central Edmonton is divided into three main districts.

Alberta Avenue which was once a lower income demographic and one of the least expensive places to buy central Edmonton homes. Today, many of the older war-time houses have now been replaced with newer duplexes and triplexes. Although the Alberta Ave fell on hard times during the 1970s, it is now undergoing revitalization with newer infill properties and increasingly is becoming a desirable place to live. 

Queen Mary is situated west of the downtown core and is currently one of the best places for real estate investments in central Edmonton. These homes are all custom built by quality builders. Although they may be a bit dated, Queen mary is still the best place in the central part of the city to buy. Blatchford is a slowly developing neighborhood here and once complete, will be an enviromently friendly district.

The Downtown core is closest to the river valley and consists of low-rises, penthouses, war-time bungalows and other condominiums. House prices downtown range from very affordable to high-end luxury real estate.
